Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Mechanic to support the operation, maintenance, and repair of manufacturing, production, warehouse, and facility equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently to minimize downtime and support production goals.
Key Responsibilities

Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production equipment, machinery, and facility systems.

Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical issues.

Repair, replace, and adjust equipment components as required.

Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergency maintenance requests.

Conduct routine inspections to identify potential maintenance concerns.

Maintain conveyors, pumps, motors, compressors, gearboxes, packaging equipment, and other industrial machinery.

Read and interpret equipment manuals, drawings, and maintenance procedures.

Complete maintenance records, work orders, and documentation accurately.

Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects.

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and maintenance best practices.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Collaborate with production, operations, and engineering teams to maximize equipment reliability and performance.
Requirements

Qualifications
:Previous experience as a Maintenance Mechanic, Industrial Mechanic, Millwright, Maintenance Technician, or similar role. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Experience working in manufacturing, production, warehousing, food processing, packaging, pharmaceutical, logistics, or industrial environments. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and maintenance equipment safely. Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in physically demanding environments.

Preferred Experience & Assets
:Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Certification (433A) considered an asset. Experience with conveyors, packaging equipment, automated production lines, and material handling systems. Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and PLC-controlled equipment. Welding, fabrication, and machining experience considered an asset. Forklift, aerial lift, or scissor lift certification considered an asset. Experience with preventative maintenance programs and CMMS systems. Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and manufacturing quality standards is an asset.

Work Environment
:Manufacturing, warehouse, distribution, food processing, packaging, pharmaceutical, and industrial facilities. Fast-paced environment requiring quick response to equipment issues. Frequent standing, walking, lifting, climbing, bending, and use of maintenance tools. Day, afternoon, night, and rotating shifts may be available. Overtime and on-call work may be required based on operational needs.
